April to September
Monday to Saturday: 10am - 6:15pm (last access at 5:45pm)

Sunday: 12pm - 5:15pm (last access at 4:45pm)
Closed during religious services and on January1, May1 and December 25.
Exceptional closures
The royal necropolis (i.e. the ‘museum’ section and its collection of royal funerary sculptures) is part of a church used for religious purposes, and is therefore subject to regular exceptional closures.
- Friday 9 May: open from 10am to 2pm (last admission 1.30pm) then 3pm to 6.15pm (last admission 5.45pm)
- Friday 23 May: open from 10am to 4pm (last admission 3.30pm)
- Thursday 29 May: open from 12.30pm to 6.15pm (last admission 5.45pm)
The Cathedral Basilica of Saint-Denis is hosting a major immersive show, La Nuit des Reines, a unique opportunity to discover the monument and its history! On the days of the show, the royal necropolis will be closed early but will remain accessible to visitors as part of the show. Access and transport

By transport
Metro line 13, Basilique de Saint-Denis station (no elevator), 100 meters from the monument.
RERD, Saint-Denis stop, then Tramway T1 (5 minutes) or 15 minutes on foot.
RERB (then Bus 153 or 253)
By car
9 km from the center of Paris: access via Porte de La Chapelle, then A1, exit Saint-Denis - center ville. At Porte de Paris, Saint-Denis, follow the green sign "Saint-Denis Centre" on the right. Then go to the Indigo Parking named "Basilique", located 100 meters from the monument. The city center of Saint-Denis is pedestrian.
By bike
From Porte de la Villette, along the Saint-Denis canal (20 minutes).
There is no bicycle garage near the basilica.
